It’s the Chris Edgerly voice over 15 year anniversary for his IMDB portfolio and in honor of such an incredible milestone, today we’re looking back over some of the more memorable roles Chris has performed! So sit back and join us as we take a trip down memory lane.

Chris Edgerly Voice Over IMDB 15 Year Anniversary!

During the first IMDB noted year in Chris’s voice over career, 2003, Chris took on four video game voice over roles including the voice of the cat in the Cat in the Hat video game and the voice of Aragorn in “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” video game.

Although 2003 was a slower year for Chris’s voice over work, 2004 proved to bring a flurry of video game voice over roles. These roles included various voices in the video games The Punisher, The Incredibles, Halo 2, The Polar Express, Call of Duty: Finest Hour, and the reappearance of Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth video game. 2004 would also see Chris do his first voice acting role in the animated TV series Drawn Together, a series he would continue to work on until 2006. Perhaps one of the most memorable roles that Chris began in during 2004 was that of Peter Potamus, a regular character on the animated TV series “Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.”

2005 brought a much busier year for Chris as he made a TV acting appearance in The King of Queens and Codename: Kids Next Door. In addition to these roles, Chris also provided voice over talent for the animated film Chicken Little and the television series Duck Dodgers. Perhaps most memorable during this year, at least if you ask his video game voice over fans, was his voice over work as Cid Highwind in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. This is a role that Chris would reprise later that year in the Kingdom Hearts II video game, in 2006 in the Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII video game, and in 2017 in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia video game.

Cid Highwind wouldn’t be the only recurring role for Chris during the past fifteen years. Twice during 2006 and once in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012, Chris would bring back the voice of Aragorn in Lord of the Rings video games after his 2004 and 2005 roles. In 2007 through to 2014 Chris starred as the voice of Hidan in the Naruto: Shippuden TV series, a character he would also voice in 2009, 2010, 2011, twice in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 in the Naruto video game spin-offs and the 2012 Naruto movie “Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie.”

In 2006, Chris spent a good deal of time in video game voice over roles but he also starred in his first Disney film “The Wild” as the voice of Cloak the chameleon. Shortly after, Chris also went on to voice various characters in Doctor Dolittle 3 and voice a role in the animated TV series “My Gym Partner’s a Monkey” and the animated movie “Happy Feet”. 2006 also saw Chris voice various roles in the Celebrity Deathmatch TV series.

From 2007 through to 2010, Chris would voice many more video game roles including voices on Halo 3, Mass Effect, The Incredible Hulk, The Princess Bride, Lego Batman: The Video Game, The Godfather II, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Cars Race-O-Rama, Assassin’s Creed II, Avatar: The Game, Final Fantasy XIII, How to Train Your Dragon, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. This period would also see Chris voice characters in the animated TV series’ The Invincible Iron Man, Digimon Data Squad, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Wolverine and the X-Men.

2011 began with Chris voicing a character for the popular animated TV series “Family Guy” and a role as Benny in the movie “Top Cat: The Movie”. Of most recognition, however, is the beginning of Chris’s career with The Simpsons. Debuting in the episode “Moms I’d Like to Forget”, Chris went on to voice countless characters for The Simpsons over the years and still plays an integral role providing various voices on the series today!

His first appearance on The Simpsons didn’t end Chris’s roles in other areas, however, in the years that have followed he has provided his vocal talents for a number of animated movies including the role of Boris in “Outback”, the voice of Clean Fish in “Back to the Sea”, the voice of Benny in Top Cat Begins and the TV movie Harvey Birdman, Attorney General. During this time Chris also began his role as Gobber in the animated series Dragons: Riders of Berk, and voice a ski patrol officer in Lego Frozen Northern Lights, Crustacean in Transformers: Robots in Disguise, a range of characters in the animated TV series Clarence, and Babble in Sofia the First.

Chris didn’t abandon his video game voice over roles from 2012 onward, though, he provided vocal talents for twenty-five video game characters for titles including Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure, DuckTales: Remastered, Skylanders: SWAP Force, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, Disney Infinity 3.0, Skylanders: SuperChargers, and most recently World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth to be released later this year!
