Pathfinder in Apex Legends As Played By Chris Edgerly

For the past couple of weeks, we have featured videos of Chris Edgerly playing Pathfinder in Apex Legends. If you know anything about Chris or Pathfinder, then you'll know that Chris is the original voice of this automaton which makes watching him play the game as Pathfinder quite entertaining. For Chris, though, playing the voice of Pathfinder proved to be a much easier task than actually playing the game as him!

Pathfinder in Apex Legends As Played By Chris Edgerly

In this third video installment of Chris playing as Pathfinder in Apex Legends and once again, he's struggling to get a hang of the fast-paced gameplay. Not surprisingly (if you've seen the first two videos), we see Pathfinder getting slaughtered a few times and it's hard to ignore the chorus of laughter in the background as Chris's brother, Dave, and friend, John, both find plenty of entertainment in Chris's character's repeated death.

This third video installment is slightly more colorful than the previous two in terms of language, but who can blame Chris for that? We can all only get taken off the map so many times in a video game before frustration levels rise and the expletives begin to slip out unintentionally.

Fortunately (and incredibly ), towards the end of this clip we see Chris FINALLY get that first kill and the pomp and circumstance that follows is nothing short of hilarious. The chorus of "Ode to Joy" blasts and we hear the enthusiasm in Chris Edgerly's voice as he celebrates that elusive first win.

Unfortunately, however, that first win wasn't followed by a second right away and Chris goes back to watching the automaton that he brought to life on screen get taken out once again.

In general, it isn't all that entertaining watching someone else play video games but when that someone is the guy who gives the character his voice and when that someone is...well...not that great, it makes for a fun viewing experience.

Apex Legends Season Two Has Fun In Store For Voice Actor Chris Edgerly!

Apex Legends Season Two has been out for long enough for seasoned pros to master the new changes, but for voice actor Chris Edgerly - the voice of Pathfinder - mastering the new release will have to wait because he's still working on mastering the basics!

Apex Legends Season Two Has Fun In Store For Voice Actor Chris Edgerly!

Just days before Apex Legends Season Two was released, Chris's brother, Dave, and friend John convinced Chris to pick up a controller and try his hand at playing Apex Legends. Although Chris voiced Apex Legends character Pathfinder, he had yet to really play the game and if you caught last week's video post then you'll know that things didn't exactly go too well. It's not that Chris isn't a gamer or that the game is too difficult, but like most games, Apex Legends comes with a learning curve.

Today we're sharing the second video in the series of Chris trying his hand at Apex Legends and while he's not exactly killing it...actually, he's getting slaughtered...his gameplay is improving...ever so slightly. As the second installment of this video series gets underway we hear Chris saying: "I am not good at long range…also at short range I’m not good…don’t think I’m that great at medium range…I can’t seem to find a range where I might get somebody…” This proves to be more than a little true when, 12 seconds into the clip, Chris's character is gunned down by another player. We hear Dave, Chris's brother, and John, Chris's friend, in the background, unable to contain their laughter, but Chris keeps trying to master his role as Pathfinder. A few seconds later, Chris's character plummets off a cliff and dies again. Seconds later, a more experienced player shuffles Chris's character off the automaton coil for the third time.

Determined to get a hang of playing the character he voices in Apex Legends, Chris takes a few pointers from Dave and John, learning how the weapons in the game work and how he can use Pathfinder's skills to his advantage while playing the game. Things go quite well for a few minutes and Chris starts making some great progress...at least, he was until his ammo ran out, and then things start to get a little more colorful in the language department!

Apex Legends Pathfinder Voice, Chris Edgerly, Plays Apex Legends

Over the past few weeks, Apex Legends Pathfinder voice, Chris Edgerly has been giving gaming as the character he voices a try. Ironically, though Chris provides the voice of the automaton, Pathfinder, in Apex Legends, he isn't a seasoned gamer, but when his brother Dave, and friend, John, convince him to pick up a controller and play Apex Legends with them, things get pretty intense...and also a little hilarious.

Apex Legends Pathfinder voice, Chris Edgerly, isn't new to gaming, but he isn't exactly a pro...at least not when it comes to playing Apex Legends. Over the past few weeks, Chris's brother, Dave, and friend, John, committed to changing this. The result was a series of video clips that showcase the learning process of playing Apex Legends as a NOOB! Check out the first video in the series below, just be sure to cover the kid's ears because, although hilarious, things do get a little colorful!

Chris: "What's up everybody, it's Chris Edgerly, voice of Pathfinder in Apex Legends, and I'm about to go and learn how to play this game, and bear with me because I am gonna be pretty awful for a while. So, hey, let's go and find out what happens! High-five and get ready to die a lot!

Video Captions: After a few minutes of practice, Chris is jumping into Apex Legends. Chris is playing with his brother, Dave, and friend, John, both experienced players.

What follows is sure to make you laugh. Despite looking for a gun for most of his playing time of the first game, Chris manages not to find a single one and as a result, ends up fighting barehanded. Although, we say "fighting" there wasn't too much actual fighting going on and after seconds pass, Pathfinder meets his demise.

Not one to be defeated, Chris tries again and jumps right back into another game with Dave and John. This time, with a gun in hand, Chris manages to stick around just a little longer, but still hasn't achieved his first kill.

Willing to try, yet again, Chris, Dave, and John head into another match. This time around, there's plenty of gunfire and Chris is even the one doing the shooting...but that doesn't stop his character from being slaughtered in the first few seconds of the game yet again!

After a grueling few matches and quite a bit of frustration, it's obvious that a break is in order, but this isn't the end of Chris's foray into Apex Legends, with the release of Apex Legends Season 2 just after this video, Chris has a lot more practice in store for him if he's going to do Apex Legends Pathfinder any justice!

Apex Legends Season 2 and Some New Chris Edgerly Videos!

If you're an Apex Legends fan then you know that today is the day for the Apex Legends Season 2 drop! It's a huge release - hence why it's being referred to as "season 2" - and we've got plenty of news in relation to the update as well as some fun Chris Edgerly updates!

First, let's talk about those new Chris Edgerly videos...

Chris Edgerly Playing Apex Legends

As you know, Chris Edgerly is the voice behind Pathfinder, an automaton on a search for his creator. Well, despite voicing Pathfinder, Chris had never actually played Apex Legends before and his brother Dave and friend John (both experienced players) decide to teach him the ropes. Things don't go all that well...in fact, they go quite miserably and unfortunately, Chris spends many games getting eliminated by other players much to the amusement of his brother and friend. Eventually, Chris does manage to get his first kill, but not before a whole lot of colorful language and a lot of hilarious commentary. You can find video clips of Chris trying to master Apex Legends on the Chris Edgerly channel and you can expect new clips to be added as Chris tries to perfect his survival skills!

Apex Legends Season 2

Now, if you're a serious Apex Legends gamer then you know that today marks the release of Apex Legends Season 2 - Battle Charge. The new release has a number of added features - yes, Chris is going to have to learn to master the game all over again even though he's yet to master the first season!

Each season of Apex Legends is expected to span around 3 months. Season 3 is expected to be released in September and season 4 is expected to be released in December.

What does the new Apex Legends Season 2 release have to offer?

Map Changes

The new Season 2 release will also see some geographical changes to the Apex Legends map. Landmarks will be destroyed by Flyers and Leviathans creating an entirely different landscape for gaming.

New Challenges

Apex Legends Season 2 also sees the addition of daily challenges in addition to weekly challenges to create a little more variety for players rather than just having them play consistently to earn rewards. Both daily and weekly challenges will count towards players' Battle Pass and many will grant a Battle Pass level.

Ranked Leagues Mode

Ranked leagues will allow more competitive players to prove themselves in battle and receive recognition for their skills through the ranking of leagues. There will be six ranking levels that each have four divisions that are designed to better match players in matchmaking play. Players will need to forfeit ranking points to engage in ranked matches and they will earn RP throughout the match.

A New Weapon

The L-STAR plasma rifle is a fast-firing automatic plasma gun that has slower projectiles but can wreak some serious havoc with its huge projectile size and ability to blow down doors. The drawback of this new gun? It comes with a limited amount of ammo that cannot be replaced and if the trigger is held down for too long the gun will quickly overheat. The L-STAR will be exclusive to air-dropped care packages.

New weapon buffs are also going to make an appearance in season 2!

A New Legend

Wattson AKA Natalie Paquette AKA the daughter of the founder of Kings Canyon is a new character whose special centers on her electrical abilities...get it, Watt-son? Able to create a laser barrier that blocks off an area that only her teammates can pass through. Wattson's ultimate allows her to destroy incoming projectiles like grenades and if you're nearby, you will notice that your tactical ability will recharge faster. Wattson's passive recharges her ultimate to 100% when any ultimate accelerants are used.

More Legendaries

Season 2 will also see more legendaries (5 that will be rolled out between levels 1 to 100) for Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass holders and these players will also receive materials that will allow them to craft their own legendary of choice.

It's no secret that voice actor Chris Edgerly is a little bit of a gamer himself and he relishes his voiceover opportunities in the gaming world. If you're a bit of a gamer too, then you will already know that February 5th saw the global release of Chris's most recently released video game voice acting spot with EA Games Apex Legends.

Apex Legends is a Hit!

Apex Legends, a game that rivals the hit game Fortnite, may not have been on the market long, but it's already been exceptionally well received. How well received, you ask? Try, 10 million players within the first three days of the release of the game!

So, what's the game all about? Considered the "next evolution of the Battle Royale" is a free-to-play game that allows players from the "Frontier" to battle against each other for fame, glory, and fortune! Pathfinder may just be one of the "outlaws, soldiers, misfits, and misanthropes" trying to make his mark through the Apex Games, but his backstory as a Mobile Robotic Versatile eNtity who woke up alone in an abandoned laboratory endears him and makes you want to join his following.

What kind of character is Pathfinder in Apex Legends? He's a sociable and ever-hopeful automaton who loves to make new friends as much as he loves to shoot them afterward! His grappling hook comes in pretty handy throughout the game, his insider knowledge gives you that extra edge, and that zipline gun ultimate ability...well, let's just say it's just as much fun as it looks!

To date Chris has voiced the character of Hidan in seven video games: Naruto Shippûden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3, Naruto Shippûden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, Naruto Shippûden: Ultimate Ninja Impact, Naruto Shippûden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, Naruto Shippûden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, Naruto Shippûden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution, and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.

Chris Edgerly as Scuttle

Scuttle is one of our favorite video game voice actor roles by Chris Edgerly because he is just so animated. This clip is from the 2012 video game “Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure” where players travel the worlds of the Disney princesses with their favorite Disney princess characters and turn evil imps back into friendly sprites. Plus, if you're a fan of Chris as Scuttle, next time you're on the Little Mermaid Ride in the Disney theme park, keep an ear out and you'll hear him there too!

Chris Edgerly as Gyro

Chris voiced the 2013 video game voice actor role of Gyro in Ducktales Remastered, a game that received plenty of recognition from the video gaming community. Among other awards, Ducktales Remastered was nominated for Best Vocal Ensemble in a Video Game by the BTVA Video Game Voice Acting Awards, a nomination that recognized Chris Edgerly along with his co-stars in the game Alan Young, Russi Taylor, Terence McGovern, June Foray, Brian George, Frank Welker, Chuck McCann, Wendee Lee, Eric Bauza, Jason Marsden, and Pat Musick.

Chris Edgerly as Pop Thorn

Chris also voiced Pop Thorn in three of the Skylander video games in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Pop Thorn is a pufferthorn, a timid puffer fish-like creature that puffs up with spines when scared. Unfortunately for pufferthorns, their spiny defense also made them the perfect tool for giant trolls in search of hairbrushes! Pop Thorn was the one pufferthorn who stood up and fought for his kind and ever since no giant troll has dared to take on a pufferthorn...plus, Pop Thorn was made a Skylander by Master Eon.

Chris Edgerly as Cid Highwind

An iconic character with his own fan club, Cid Highwind is a video game voice actor role that Chris has voiced in four video games to date. Cid owns an airship named the Highwind and as a mechanical scientist, he's long nursed a dream of launching a rocket into space. A short-tempered chain smoker, Cid has a mouth your mother would never approve of, but when it all comes down to it he has a big heart with good intentions.

Chris Edgerly as Senator Geary

Voiced by Chris Edgerly, Senator Geary featured in the 2009 video game "The Godfather II". The United States senator from Nevada, Geary was blackmailed and manipulated by the Corleone family and played an important role in the Senate investigation against the Corleone family. In addition to voicing the senator, Chris offered his video game voice actor talents for additional background characters in the game.

Chris Edgerly as Ventralis

Chris Edgerly voiced the character of Ventralis in the 2007 video game, Mass Effect. Ventralis is the human head of ERCS personnel assigned to the Novaria labs for security. Armed with an assault rifle and a shotgun, Ventralis is responsible for manning the Rift Station against the Rachni that are continually traveling along the tram tunnels. Ventralis and his men are exhausted from defending against the Rachni continually attacking through the tunnels. After meeting Commander Shepard, it's soon revealed that Ventralis isn't everything he seems to be.
